The BTCA and BTRA were founded and exist for the protection of the Biewer Terrier and not for any individual personal gratification or short term financial gain. As with any evolutionary association of a newly established breed, we will continue to make any necessary changes and adjustments for the benefit of our breed.

We have spent a lot of time researching the Biewer Breed and are now developing some of the top Biewer Terrier lines in the country. The BTCA, Inc. (Biewer Terrier Club of America, Inc.) is the parent club for the Biewer Terrier Breed, and offers a wealth of information about the Biewer. They continue to pave the way for the development of purebred Biewer in America. It's breeders have many years of experience breeding Yorkies or other small breeds and are willing to help you with what ever questions you may have. Some of the breeders are into their 4th generation Biewers and through trial and error are producing some very nice Biewer Terrier puppies. I am proud to have the opportunity to work with and learn from these breeders and share what I am learning. We still have a long way to go, but we are dedicated to producing the best Biewer Terrier foundation in America and could not ask for a better team to do it with.
With the progress the Biewer Terrier is making in the USA we felt that registering with a registry set up for the Biewer Terrier Breed was of prime importance, so we will be registering all our dogs with the Biewer Terrier Registry of America (BTRA). BTRA is the only DNA tested purebred Biewer Terrier registry in the America, and is the only registry dedicated to the protection of the purebred Biewer Terrier. Since the BTCA, Inc. has hired an independent organization to run the registry, you will not find the coloring or the breed status altered. Visit the BTRA website for more information about the registration of the purebred Biewer Terrier. Look for the "Breeding for Excellence" banner to assure you are getting a purebred Biewer.
You will find a lot of the Biewer, Biewer a la Pom Pon, Biewer Yorkshire, or Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon breeders, mixing breeds and starting designer breeds such as Gold Dust, Biro, and Ocean Pearl. Don't be fooled by their lengthy explanation about how a certain color is developed, they are no more than a mutt with a glorified name and web site. Color differences do not make a new breed. I think you will notice that a lot of those adult Gold Dust dogs look just like the Shorkies.
